SheetWorks Overview
Both "Sheetworks for Design" and "Sheetworks Unfold" extend
the capabilities of SolidWorks with sheet metal industry specific knowledge
and capabilities.
SheetWorks- Design
“SheetWorks for Design” is an Add-In to Solid Works SheetMetal.
This add-in enhances and extends SolidWorks sheet metal design capability
with expert knowledge of metal industry. The package includes a Material
Library, with bend deduction values and design rules; a Press Brake Tooling
Library; and and special form shape creation and insertion functions.
Develop individual Sheet Metal parts from a Solid model, maintaining
assembly/subassembly relationships. Sheet Works for Design is only available
through SolidWorks resellers.
Sheetworks – Unfold
“SheetWorks for Unfold” is a high-end Sheet Metal CAD solution
using the Solid Works engine. SheetWorks for Unfold provides sheet metal
design and Unfold capability with expert knowledge of metal industry.
All of the “SheetWorks for Design” features are included
as part of this total solution. Import any 3-D solid, Parasolid, Step,
IGES, ACIS, or SolidWorks compatible file and automatically apply material
definition allowing for quick accurate unfolding of any file. Powerful
orthographic capabilities allow the creation of sheet metal part from
multiple 2-D views.
Sheetworks uses batch processes to create individual detail drawings
of multiple parts, increasing productivity. Amada and Metalsoft CAM users
reap the benefits of directly linking special tooling from the model
eliminating any manual input during the CAM process. Use the power of “SheetWorks
for Unfold”, and its multiple design methods, to create Sheet metal
parts that result in accurate flat parts.
